Seeing as this is the beginning of the beginning, and I haven't actually added anyone quite yet, this first commemorative post will be public. I tend to keep all of my posts on social networking websites friends only or private (except some photo entries from time to time). I love getting to know people, but I also believe it's a personal and individual process. Not to mention I am wary of some of the types of people out there due to my experiences with the not-so-savory ones. I try not to consciously judge anyone when first meeting them, because I know just how frustrating being misunderstood can be. I believe we are new people every time we interact with others each day- our cells have refreshed themselves, our minds have grown from the knowledge gained throughout the previous day, and we become more because of it. This is why old friends can grow apart, and new ones feel like the old.
I have strong opinions on a lot of subjects, some of them can be controversial or political in nature but I don't really like to talk about those things unless it's during a debate or other relevant situation where it would be appropriate. I have a lot of interests and enjoy researching them all, though my motivation to be an expert on just one thing is fairly lacking. I have a lot of artistic "hobbies" which have been part of my lifestyle since as far back as I can remember, and I enjoy being in nature more than just about anything else in the world. I spent pretty much all of my time growing up there and I think all kids should have access to rural areas while growing up because it really changes your perspective on a lot of things in life.
I guess that's enough about me for now, I put some more information in my profile such as my livejournal history and why I made this new account here. Now that I look back on it, maybe it would be more appropriate to add those things here instead. If anyone is interested in reading about what caused me to make this sudden migration, I will put it under here (it's basically a short rant about privacy):
( From whence I cameCollapse )
To be fair it makes this entry a little lengthy, but certainly more relevant here than it will be there in a few weeks.
For now I will leave at that, toggle with my profile and settings here, maybe browse what sort of groups exist these days and see who still uses this beautiful, wondrous thing that is LiveJournal.
